Q: Is pre-registration required?
A: Yes, all attendees, including presenters, are required to pre-register through our website. To secure your participation and view ticket options, please click here to register. As space is limited and accurate numbers are essential for catering and logistical planning, we strongly encourage early registration. Please note that registration may close once capacity is reached.
Q: What does registration include?
A: Your registration fee includes access to all presentations, sessions, meals (all strictly kosher), refreshments, some hospitality services, printed materials, and networking with other researchers in related studies.
Q: Are subsidies available?
A: We are committed to making this a barrier-free event. While there is a registration fee to help cover food and programming costs, concession tickets are available, especially for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows without institutional support. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions to info@antisemitismsymposium.com.
Unfortunately, we are unable to subsidize travel or lodging costs.
Q: Do Brock University faculty and staff need to pay to attend the symposium?
A: Yes, Brock faculty and staff are asked to purchase tickets through the registration link. You may opt to transfer funds internally to CC2300 – Faculty of Social Sciences Operating Programs by using the discount code BROCKFaculty or BROCKStaff at checkout.
Q: Are Kosher meals available?
A: All meals, refreshments and drinks are strictly kosher and supervised by the Kashrut Council of Canada (COR).
Q: Will you be able to accommodate other dietary needs?
A: Yes! With advance notice, additional dietary needs like vegetarian and gluten-free can be accommodated. Please email info@antisemitismsymposium.com at least one week prior to the event with specifics of your special dietary requirements if you did not already include it in your registration form.
Q: Where is the symposium taking place?
A: The symposium will be held in-person at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. A detailed campus map, venue list, and transportation options will be shared with registrants closer to the event date.
Q: Are virtual attendance options available?
A: At this time, the symposium is planned as an in-person event. Collaboration and networking is critical to the desired outcome of our goals for the symposium, which is why there are limited spots available. Some sessions will be recorded and made available after the conference subject to presenter permissions.
Q: Will there be security during the symposium?
A: The safety and well-being of all participants is a top priority. We are working closely with Brock University’s Campus Security to ensure a secure environment. All attendees will be required to check in at registration and wear name badges at all times while on site.
